Mainland China Student Admission Application
Students from Mainland China who apply to study in Taiwan are handled by the University Entrance Committee for Mainland Chinese Students (UECMCS). UECMCS Website
Master's and Ph.D. degrees in Taiwan for Academic Year 2023 are now available for online registration!
Application Period: May 15, 2023 ( starting from 9:00) until June 5, 2023 (ending at 17:00 sharp)

Bachelor's Program Eligibility:(There are no slots available for the Bachelor's program this year.)
All mainland Chinese citizens who have registered permanent residence in Beijing, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Fujian, Guangdong, Hubei, and Liaoning and have taken and obtained results of the provincial university entrance examination (hereinafter referred to as GaoKao ) can apply for the bachelor's degree program (excluding the two-year bachelor's degree program).
(1)Hold a graduation certificate from a senior high school in mainland China.
(2)Hold a graduation certificate or equivalent qualifications from a senior secondary school in Hong Kong or Macau.
(3)Hold a graduation certificate from a public or registered private senior high school in Taiwan or possess equivalent qualifications.
(4)Hold a graduation certificate from a foreign senior secondary school or possess equivalent qualifications.
Please note that applicants who do not meet the minimum score requirement of the provincial university entrance examination (Gaokao) in their respective regions will not be considered. The score cutoffs for Zhejiang (1st and 2nd tiers), Shanghai (1st tier), Guangdong (1st tier), Liaoning (1st tier), and Beijing (1st tier) will be announced on the website of UECMCS.
Master's Program Eligibility:
A fresh graduate's household registration place when they enter the bachelor's program, or a non-fresh graduate's household registration place in Beijing, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Fujian, Guangdong, Hubei, or Liaoning.
(1)Hold a bachelor's degree graduation certificate and degree certificate from a recognized university or institution in mainland China listed in Taiwan's approved list.
(2)Hold a bachelor's degree from a Hong Kong or Macau university that meets the recognition requirements or possesses equivalent qualifications for applying to the Master's program.
(3)Hold a bachelor's degree from a public or registered private university in Taiwan or possess equivalent qualifications for applying to the Master's program.
(4)Hold a bachelor's degree from a foreign university that meets the recognition requirements or possesses equivalent qualifications for applying to the Master's program.
Doctoral Program Eligibility:
A fresh graduate's household registration place when they enter the master's program, or a non-fresh graduate's household registration place in Beijing, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Fujian, Guangdong, Hubei, or Liaoning.
(1)Hold a master's degree graduation certificate and degree certificate from a recognized university or institution in mainland China listed in Taiwan's approved list.
(2)Hold a master's degree from a Hong Kong or Macau university that meets the recognition requirements or possesses equivalent qualifications for applying to the doctoral program.
(3)Hold a master's degree from a public or registered private university in Taiwan or possess equivalent qualifications for applying to the doctoral program.
(4)Hold a master's degree from a foreign university meeting the recognition requirements or equivalent qualifications for applying to the doctoral program.
***Please note that Taiwan recognizes 155 mainland China universities and institutions. The list is available for download on UECMCS Website「Download」Section.
***If you are studying at one of the above 155 colleges or universities, but have academic qualifications that are not recognized, such as studying at a branch school or enrolling through non-formal admission channels, etc., please make sure that you meet the registration requirements before proceeding.
