Results:

Dr. Linda Hsieh, associate professor at the University of Birmingham School of Business and director of the Department of International Business Management, presented two in-depth professional sharing and exchanges.

As the global COVID-19 epidemic spreads, governments from various countries have launched digital application tools to assist the government in related epidemic prevention work and to control the development of the outbreak in their country (such as mobile apps, and AI).

Furthermore, she stated that she has worked on implementing digital tools to improve epidemic prevention in governments. While some countries have achieved remarkable results in epidemic prevention as citizens actively cooperate with government policies (for example Taiwan and South Korea), anti-epidemic policies have reacted negatively and suspiciously, affecting the results of epidemic prevention (for example the United Kingdom).

With her in-depth comparisons and criticisms, she cuts in from an international and transnational perspective, stimulating more research energy in research topics and practical applications. Also worth mentioning is that this speech outlines potential opportunities for bilateral cooperation with the YZU College of Management.
