A contract was signed between Yuan Ze University and the Batu Taiwan Alumni Association of Malaysia to promote higher education overseas in Johor

The West Malaysia session of the 2023 Malaysia Higher Education Exhibition, organized by the Malaysian Alumni Association Union, under the guidance of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of China (Taiwan), the Overseas Community Affairs Council of the Republic of China (Taiwan),

and the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Malaysia, was held from April 3rd to 12th. The exhibition took place in three major regions: Batu Pahat, Kuala Lumpur, and Penang. The first exhibition was held in Batu Pahat, Johor, and featured the participation of seven independent secondary schools and 21 national-type secondary schools, with over 3,500 students attending.

Yuan Ze University's Global Affairs Office, represented by Chief Liang Yun-Chia, arrived in Batu Pahat, Malaysia, on April 1st to participate in the Malaysia Higher Education Exhibition. On the afternoon of April 4th, a cooperation agreement was signed between Yuan Ze University and the Batu Pahat Alumni Association. The agreement aims to promote cultural and learning exchanges, nurture promising students, and provide quality learning resources and pathways for further education. Chief Liang stated that for outstanding students recommended by the Batu Pahat Alumni Association, Yuan Ze University offers five scholarships that cover tuition fees for the first semester each year. There are no restrictions on whether the students are overseas Chinese or international students. Starting from the second semester, students can continue to receive scholarships according to Yuan Ze University's scholarship program regulations. The maximum scholarship amount is nearly NT$450,000 over four years.

Huang Siu-Ling, President of the Batu Pahat Alumni Association, expressed the association's commitment to serving as a bridge between students and excellent Taiwanese universities. This provides opportunities for students who wish to study overseas to connect with outstanding universities in Taiwan. Chief Liang also stated, "Seeing the selfless dedication of the senior alumni in the Batu Pahat Alumni Association, Yuan Ze University will undoubtedly provide quality education and comprehensive counseling systems to carry on the commitment of the senior alumni in nurturing students, jointly cultivating outstanding students with international perspectives."
