Objective:
The competition is held to promote foreign students’ understanding Chinese culture, to enhance
their interest in learning Chinese and to share multiple perspectives of Taiwan.

Activity Period:

  1. Registration Period: September 1 (Sun.) to October 12 (Sat.) 2024

International Sea and Ocean Camp (ISOC 2024) from Nha Trang University

With the desire to create opportunities for international students to learn about Vietnamese culture in general and explore Nha Trang tourism in particular, NTU organizes the ISOC for a week with the following criteria:

  • Introducing Vietnamese culture, Nha Trang tourism, and Nha Trang marine ecosystem through specialized lectures by professors at the University.
  • Introducing Nha Trang tourism through sightseeing activities at famous tourist destinations in the city.
  • Introducing Nha Trang's marine ecosystem through activities on the island: diving to see coral, and visiting marine protected areas.
  • Learn about Vietnamese culinary culture through cooking class.
  • Create a playground for international students to interact with Vietnamese students.
  • Experience and explore one of Vietnam's most famous and attractive tourist cities.
  • A certificate of participation in Summer Camp is issued at the end of the course.

Program fee: US$ 420/participant

Including:

  • Pick-up and Drop-off at Cam Ranh International Airport
  • Accommodation: 6 nights at 4 stars hotel (2 pax/room)
  • Meals: All breakfast, 4 lunches, 2 dinners
  • 2 field trips all inclusive
  • Participation fees and entrance tickets for all activities mentioned in the program
  • T-shirt and hat (ISOC 2024)

Not including:

  • Flight ticket
  • E-visa application fee (if needed)

Chinese Cultural Workshop - KUNGFU (Chinese Martial Art)

Come to join Chinese culture workshop to explore the culture in Taiwan! Immerse yourself in the rich traditions of culture in Taiwan through hands-on experiences such as exercise, calligraphy, handmade local food, and traditional crafts.

 

The workshop will be conducted mainly in English. Foreign and local students/ professors/ staffs are welcomed to have fun together!

Yuan Ze University has a high proportion of international students, reaching up to 9%, with students coming from over 60 different countries. 

[ONLY for International Students and Faculty] Dragon Boat Festival Ice Zongzi Giveaway and Sachet DIY

Date: June 5th, 2024 (Wednesday)

Time: 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM

Venue: Global Lounge

 

[By reservation] Ice Zongzi Giveaway

  1. Reservation via the portal system is required to pick up the Ice Zongzi (Vegan, Sweet).
  2. International faculty and students who successfully reserve should come to the Global Lounge on the 1st floor of Building 7 between 11:00 AM and 12:20 PM on the day of the event to collect your Ice Zongzi.
  3. Students who have reserved Ice Zongzi can pick it up on behalf of multiple friends (you must provide a photo of each friend's student ID). Ice Zongzi without prior reservation cannot be collected by others.
  4. After 12:20 PM, Ice Zongzi will be available for pickup by on-site non-registered individuals on a first-come, first-served basis until supplies last, regardless of reservation status.

  1. No registration is required.
  2. Get to know traditional herbs and make your own sachet.

 

<Fun cultural knowledge>

A sachet is used by parents during the Dragon Boat Festival to repel poisonous pests like scorpions, vipers, centipedes, house lizards, and toads. The bags are first sewn with colorful silk cloth, then filled with perfumes and herbal medicines and then tied with silk thread.
