The Thai King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) visited Yuan Ze University, facilitating international exchange and cooperation between the two institution

A delegation of six representatives from King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), Thailand, including Prof. Suvit Saetia, the President

, and Prof. Chawin Chantharasenawong, the Vice President, visited Yuan Ze University to discuss international exchange and cooperation between the two institutions. They also plan to arrange internships for students in companies and organizations in Taiwan and Thailand.

Yuan Ze University President Liao Ching-Jong stated that the university adheres to an education philosophy that combines theory and practice, actively constructing a cross-cultural learning environment. The university is committed to cultivating globally-minded talents with the knowledge and ability to engage in global communication, dialogue, cooperation, and contribution.

King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) is located in the Thung Khru district, south of Bangkok, Thailand. It is one of Thailand's nine national research universities, with significant research fields including chemistry, materials science, earth system science, energy management, and bioengineering. In 2018-2020, it was ranked first in engineering in Thailand for three consecutive years by the Times Higher Education. This visit aims to strengthen academic exchange and cooperation between the two universities. Faculty from both institutions will engage in research collaboration, teaching seminars, and curriculum development to facilitate academic exchange and sharing. The partnership will also actively promote joint bachelor's and master's degree programs.

Furthermore, the two universities will collaborate to launch a student internship program. The universities will assist students in finding opportunities, aiming to send around 30-50 students each year to participate in internships with companies and organizations in both Taiwan and Thailand.

Yuan Ze University's Director of Global Affairs, Leung Wan-Ka, said that the university encourages students to make the most of resources and collaborative projects during their academic journey. This collaboration allows students from both universities to study credit courses at their sister institution and participate in overseas internships. The university hopes for fruitful outcomes and mutual benefits.
